Poems are important in our life which would be meaningless without them. One of major usage of poems in literature is to unleash our feelings, or to expose that we are fallen in love. One of my favorite poems for this purpose is composed by a Turkish poet who is known as Zekeriyya Bican(Müh-Şair-Yazar). I made an exception for this poem and published as its original language, in Turkish. You can use Google translate to have an idea about it.

BEKLİYORUM

Bekliyorum, belki gelirsin diye,
Eğer geleceksen,
Bir nisan yağmurunun, o ılık bulutlarıyla gel…
Yürürken ağaçlara sular, aşkın damarlarımda akarken gel,
Yürürken boş sokaklarda ben, yüreğim sen diye atarken gel,
Yürürken gökte bulutlar, yepyeni baharlarla gel,
Yürürken ağaçlara sular, yürü gözlerimden kalbime kadar.

Bekliyorum, belki gelirsin diye,
Eğer geleceksen,
Bir nisan yağmurunun, o ılık bulutlarıyla gel…
Erikler çiçek açarken, yazı yaban yeşerirken gel,
Son cemresi de düşüp toprağa, toprak buharlaşırken gel,
Yüreğim aşkınla dolup da, özlemin beni ağlatırken gel,
Gel sil gözlerimi, sana en ihtiyacım olduğu zaman gel.

Bekliyorum, belki gelirsin diye,

Dilek ağacında, çaputlar renk değiştirmeden,
Yatırlarda mumlar tükenip, ışıkları tam sönerken gel.
Göçmen kuşlar yeniden bir bir, sevinçlerle dönerken gel,
Şiirler şarkı olup, sevdalı dillerde söylenirken gel.

Ve, senin için Tanrıya açık ellerim yorgun düşerken,
Yok ki derdime ortağım, kendi kendime dertleşirken gel…

Why do people usually have to make a choice either between money and love, color and country, gun or rose? Why do some people make choises instead of us? The most important question is that why we do let these people who affect our life in a negative way, or who block us to be improved in terms of the quality of life.

First of all, I am going to tell why i need to ask these questions above is to relax or to get rid of my own dilemma or maybe to help someone else. Yes, the dilemma of making a choise between money and love, passion and profession, color and blood. I use  love here, not only to specific person such as  to my prospective wife but also to my own personality, to my parents, to my job, to my friends, to people who i get stuck on. In addition, I also use the word of love for people who doesn’t like me. Because, I do honestly want a peace world-wide for making the world liavable. This is so clear that any country is not an island anymore so we need to find a way to live together in global world like a country. From this love to myself, I sometimes think that i sacrifice too much from me for people that I loved. What for? Not for money, not for a job, but it’s for God’s service. This is one of characteristics for muslim society, to give a hand to others who need your help. It seems as if it’s not for this world, but for afterhere. Fortunately, It’s for this world as well becuase of the fact that Islam orders to humanbeing to prepare themselves for afterhere, however It also says that don’t forget this world either.
To sum up, As one of Islamic intellectuals, Bediüzzaman (It means “unique at the time” given to him by public and people in the wake of him) says that “every one migth give a hand to a person who is in one level lower position in terms of power”. As a result, We all need one another for a better world and of course afterhere to deserve the heaven.

If someone asks that why do we study on Physics, the answer for me will be that easy, but in some aspects, it’s hard to answer.

As a master student in physics and  a graduate of physics engineering, I realized that if you are not able to apply what you study into daily life, it will always be hard to understand whole picture of your study or it will  take part its place only in books as a theory. How ever, there can be laws such as gravitational law which is not understood well as Newton Isaac discovered, “what goes up must come down” is true on earth. But, if we go further beyond the sun system or if we go deeper to “graviton”, it gets difficult to grasp . Fortunately, I’m not the one who studies this kind of field which will take so much time to get whole picture so I moved into nanotechnolgy to see life applicable and to make earth more livable. There can be so many areas of nanotechnology that will be listed such as in medicine with diagnose and curing, in industry including electronics, in producing (clean) energy, in space researches, and so on.  These lists can be still increased with the help of your imagination and of course with the help of interdisciplinary studies.

As a result, physics gives an opportunity to me to look at events in a rigth way; not to look at problems, but to  the solutions beyond the problems. Hence, we cannot think life that easy without physics. From general to specialization or from  physics to nanoscience, I will need much more steps in nanotechnology to be a professional with the help of professors in the physics department in the way of being an academic against obstacles on the path. For this reason,  I can honestly tell that I will never stop searching and seeking the answers which are already somewhere around there with us!
